Welcome to our School Council 2023-24

The school council is made up of 24, democratically voted pupils. Each class has two representatives (from Y1 to Y6).

Democracy is the government of the people, by the people and for the people. 

Throughout the year there are many opportunities for the School Council to represent their peers and contribute to the Whiteoak family.

Charity Work

The Council have been involved in choosing the themes and organising the publicity for charity events, including 'Children In Need', 'Comic Relief' and 'Wrong Trouser Day'.

Other Duties

Judging whole school competitions, such as Spooky Fruit and Comic Relief jumper designs.

Decorating the school Christmas tree, presenting their own ideas and experiences in an assembly during 'Online Safety' week. Interviewing and contributing their feedback to the appointment of teachers and Mrs Reyes!
