Communication and Interaction
This area of need encompasses Speech and Language difficulties and Social Communication and Interaction challenges.
Your child may be identified as having SEND in this category of need if they receive support from a Speech and Language Therapist or if your child has (or is awaiting) an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis.
SPEECH AND LANGUAGE:
Your child may already be working with the Speech and Language therapists at Weston Area Health Trust. If this is the case they may have a "strategy plan" or be attending regular appointments. If you have concerns about your child's speech and language development please get in touch with the SENDCo, Mrs Abby Murray. SOCIAL COMMUNICATION (ASD):
Your child might already have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or they might be awaiting diagnosis via the ASD Assessment Team.
